For this reason, Italmec has invested in a climate-controlled metrology room, a temperature-controlled environment where each component is stabilized before being measured. This step is essential to eliminate thermal expansion of materials and ensure that the measured millimeter tolerances match those specified in the technical drawing. Since 2022, with the expansion of this area and the introduction of latest-generation instruments, we have further raised our standards, offering partners the certainty of consistent, ISO 9001-certified quality.

3D measuring technology and optical inspections
Our inspection capabilities leverage cutting-edge technologies that go far beyond traditional gauges. We use automatic 3D measuring machines to analyze complex geometries and non-contact CNC optical systems, ideal for measuring delicate profiles or surfaces where absolute precision is required. The equipment is completed by a profile projector, essential for contour analysis, and a wide range of certified smooth and threaded gauges. This technological arsenal allows us to monitor every stage of production, from turning to multitasking milling, ensuring that each piece meets the rigorous geometric parameters required by the most demanding sectors.

Roughness and finish: the hallmark of quality
In addition to dimensional precision, Italmec places meticulous attention to surface finish. We use digital roughness meters to verify that component roughness (RA/RZ) falls within established limits, ensuring that the parts are not only precise in shape but also optimal in terms of functional and friction performance. Monitoring is entrusted to a dedicated Quality Manager, who oversees the entire control process.
